Congratulations on Your Newfound Sight! You are the recipient of a wonderful gift generously made possible by a cornea donor who wanted to provide the gift of sight. Lions World Vision Institute serves as a steward of this gift by carefully recovering and preparing tissue for ocular surgery and distributing those tissues to surgeons and their patients around the world. Founded in 1973, Lions World Vision Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving visual outcomes and quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired. Through our pursuit to ease cornea transplantation and improve clinical outcomes, we have become the largest nonprofit eye bank and research center in the world.
